The Omega Project A Sean Wyatt Archaeological Thriller Sean Wyatt Adventure Book 17 edition by Ernest Dempsey Jason Whited Anne r Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews

  • This book is not only an amazing adventure, which always happens with Sean and Tommy, but it is an excellent history lesson as well. I was taught in school some of the facts of the Lewis and Clark expedition, but there were many things not revealed in my textbooks. The research that Ernest Dempsey did for this book was phenomenal, and I learned so much about this time in my country's history, including a huge mystery that I knew nothing about. However, this history lesson was not boring, as some might fear. No, with Sean Wyatt on the move, the excitement builds with each page, and even though Sean is hunted and hounded beyond belief, he and Tommy are victorious in the end. You cannot go wrong with this book, even if it's your first Sean Wyatt story. If it is, I promise it won't be your last! Treat yourself - get this book. You won't regret it, I promise. Thank you again, Ernie, for another wonderful read! You rock!
  • A mysterious package is delivered to Sean Wyatt at the IAA (International Archeological Agency). It contains an ancient Japanese puzzle box and a letter from Founding Father/President James Madison describing clues to a treasure hidden by Meriwether Lewis during the Lewis and Clark expedition across the Louisiana Purchase. When he opens the puzzle box, Sean discovers a thumb drive with a horrifying video message former President John Dawkins is being held hostage and Sean has one week to find the treasure or Dawkins will be killed! Just minutes after watching the video, Sean receives a call from Emily Starks, his former boss at Axis and current lover of President Dawkins. Emily informs Sean of Dawkins’ disappearance, then drops a bombshell — Sean has been named as the kidnapper and every law enforcement agency in the country is after him.

So Sean goes on the run. Somehow he must find the treasure while avoiding being captured or killed. The chase is on and the author has really amped up the action, jumping from Sean to the villains to his friends doing what they can to help from the sidelines. It’s all so neatly engineered to combine a twisty plot with great characters and snarky dialogue into one terrific read. If you love adventure, you’ll love this book. Enjoy!
  • On reading the last book in the Sean Wyatt series (at least for now), I'm experiencing the "end of series withdrawal" that seems to come along with the last book (for now) in a series. This book was really exciting and had much interesting historical information which I've read about before, but this book uses it differently than what I've read in other books. I love the bits about the Oregon coast and Fort Stevens. I lived in Portland when I was young and my family visited there often, so using it in this book was a bit like going home. I do hope this isn't the last book in the series. I want my "fix" in future books. It wasn't until this book that I realized that the Emily that was referred to in previous books as President's Dawkins' girlfriend was Emily Starks. Did I miss some hint in previous books about that. I might have missed something near the end with Sean, Tommy and Agent Pettet and what happened to them, so I will have to go back and reread it to see if I missed something. I also like how Adriana was used in the story, and wish she could be used more in future books. While June wasn't mentioned much in this book, I would like to know more about her background, since we know much about Adriana's background. I am soothing my withdrawal symptoms by reading the Adriana Villa books, which are much like this series. I highly recommend this series to readers.
  • Another great adventure for Sean Wyatt and gang. This time they are coerced into solving another historical riddle to locate a powerful artifact. They must deliver the artifact to free a close friend and well known politician. To make the challenge harder, Sean has been framed for the kidnapping and so is chased by a national manhunt and they've only been given a week to solve the puzzle, locate the artifact and free their friend.
The action is fast. If you've read earlier books in the series, you will be rooting for Sean and friends at each step of the way. If this is your first Sean Wyatt adventure, you'll be ready to buy more in the series when you finish.
  • The Omega Project was another wonderfully fast paced thrill ride!!! I COULDN'T stop reading until the very end and it was a great reading experience. I love these characters and am always totally amazed at how exciting these Sean Wyatt and Tommy Shultz adventures are. This book was another edge of my seat read. It is filled with historical facts and information about the famous Lewis and Clark Expedition that I was so interested in reading about. This author has a really wonderful way of making a reader feel the excitement and almost feel as if they are right there in the midst of the action. I highly recommend this book to everyone who enjoys a fast paced and very well written historical mystery. Thank You once again Ernest Dempsey, for yet another exciting adventure!!! I am a huge fan of these characters and I am always looking forward to reading their next adventure!! Anyone who loves history and edge of your seat excitement this is definitely a good book for you! I enjoyed this book very much and I am looking forward to reading more from this author. He definitely knows how to keep a readers interest.
  • This was another great Sean Wyatt adventure. Tommy and Sean work good together and I definitely recommend this book to others that have read the previous books.

The above being said, the one thing that got to me was the part that Adriana forgot about the two henchmen that the general had , even though she mentally prepared and counted on them being there before she entered the generals house. That's why only four stars and not five
  • It is so much more interesting when a story is presented along with historical events and makes the reader "see" the past events of our country's development along with exciting fiction of the story's events. Sean and Tommy along with Adrianna always keep us wanting to read more of their adventures. Thanks, Ernest, for your talent to write and present stories that keep us wanting more.
